Community Intelligence Tool

Working  across the largest ethnic communities in Tower Hamlets  WHFS has built up a body of experience, knowledge and expertise about these communities; about their needs and, crucially, about the best ways of working with them, as well as about gaps in local service provision and the barriers to access.

This expert body of knowledge or ‘community intelligence’ informs WHFS’ own work and is integral to the organisation’s development.  However such knowledge is also of value to statutory sector partners and to service planners, policy-makers, providers and commissioners. As a result, WHFS commissioned a researcher to develop a system to record community intelligence about the four communities with which it is mainly involved as a means of tapping into such information in a more systematic way and exploring ways for capturing and recording it which among other things would be accessible in meaningful ways to other professionals and partners.
